Welcome to another one of our Unboxing posts. Today we are unboxing the brand new TaoTronics TT-AD001 Diffuser, a budget and compact device that can take up to 100 mL of water.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
- the Diffuser
- the AC adapter
- the measuring cup
- the warranty card
- the user guide
OPENING THE BOX
It arrives in an earthy cardboard box that opens easily and nicely…
That little paper is an invitation to register the product, and if you do, you will receive an extra six months on your warranty. The warranty is 12 months but if you register it per their suggestion, you’ll get 18 months instead.
You also get a small user manual with small print, written in five different languages, English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian.
The diffuser and the AC adapter and the measuring cup are all nestled inside the cardboardy contraption. The diffuser is in a clear bag for extra protection. The AC adapter is nestled inside the measuring cup.
The measuring cup can fit over 150 mL, however, this infuser can only process a maximum of 100 mL, so keep that in mind while refilling it. But this makes the measuring cup useful if you plan to use it for other purposes where you’d need more than 100 mL 🙂
The AC adapter is a unibody design that plugs into standard wall AC. The power cable is not removable from the AC head.
THE ACTUAL DIFFUSER
And now to the main event, the actual diffuser! It is composed of three body parts:
- the main body (base)
- inner lid
- outer lid
The main body has two front facing buttons, one that operates the LIGHT and one that operating the Misting process.
At the bottom, you have a vent, and also the AC power input. The rest are screw holes…
This is the inner lid:
DRAIN SIDE
Because of the way this is designed, there is a correct side for you to pour out (drain) the spent water. You have to pour out from the “DRAIN SIDE”. Below that, there is a MAX sign which is also visible with a little ring on the inside of the cup.
The other side has a cut for breathing, so it’s a bad idea to pour water out of that, it will create a mess 🙂
TAOTRONICS TT-AD001 SPECIFICATIONS
This is a picture of the specifications from the user manual, removing the chance of me introducing typos by re-typing it 🙂 A picture is a lot more accurate than my typing!
HOW DOES IT PERFORM?
This post is the Unboxing part of the review. More details on how well it performs and things of that nature are coming in a future post. If there are any things you want me to test, please leave a comment!
