This is currently my favorite Nexus 6 case, and as fate would have it, of course it is not currently available 🙂 I purchased this with mine own money in late 2015 at amazon.com.
Why do I like it? It is easy and simple to put on, you just peel it off the edges and it’s off. To put it back on, you just align it with an edge and push.
But it’s biggest advantage is that it is lightweight and thin. The Nexus 6 is a big and tall phone, and having a thin and compact case can help keep its size under control 🙂
The case also maintains the curvature of the back of the phone, which is a plus if you like that. You can spin the phone on a flat surface and the only thing that eventually stops the spin is friction 🙂 Check the top picture up above!
The Volume and Power buttons on the right hand side are recessed, so it prevents almost all accidental button presses. If you are used to different style of cases, it may take a bit to get used to pressing the buttons that are deeper in the case. But once you do, it’s all good. Taking a screenshot is tricky with one hand as it is, but it’s all good with two hands.
The case does not get in the way of the headphone jack or the microUSB slot. I had zero issues with headphones or charging/USB cables. Even OTG cables were fine as well. Can’t ask for more.
The case obviously has a hole for the camera, but it also has a hole for the Motorola Wings, so if you love showcasing the “Motoroloness” of the phone, this is a big plus 🙂

What’s the texture like on this? Is it grippy or is it drop-prone?

thanks for the comment! I haven’t dropped it (as far as I can recall) but it’s definitely not grippy. It’s a smooth texture, so depending on the usage (eg wet/sweaty hands) or heavy multi-tasking will definitely increase the chances of dropping it.
